Hi there,
I would agree, The antenna situ is the weak link.
We could use some clearer more concise info on ALL of it
Anyone able to fill in the info ?
LoRa SX1262 Antenna Spec Checklist
1. Frequency Band
- 868 MHz (EU)
- 915 MHz (US / AU)
- 433 MHz (legacy / local law)
(select the band you need)
2. Impedance
- 50 Ω (standard for SX1262 RF front end)
3. VSWR
- ≤ 2:1 across the band (≤ 1.5:1 preferred)
4. Gain
- 2–3 dBi (typical omnidirectional)
- Higher gain (≥ 5 dBi) only if directional coverage is intended
5. Polarization
- Linear, vertical
6. Connector Type
- u.FL / IPEX (direct to module)
- SMA male (with pigtail adapter)
(specify which connector you need)
7. Form Factor
- PCB antenna (compact, low-cost)
- Wire whip
- External whip (SMA)
- Patch / Yagi (gateway, directional)
8. Radiation Pattern
- Omnidirectional for nodes (donut shape)
- Directional for base station / long-range link
this would go a LONG way in solving the mystery
