ISU0 configured as I2C0 on Mini Dev Kit? Why NOT possible?

Post by manu288 » Thu Jun 06, 2019 7:56 pm

Hello,

According to their specs, the Mini Dev Kit (and the AI-Link module with which it is built) does NOT support I2C on ISU0 (only supported on ISU1). Is that actually true? What is the issue that prevents ISU0 to be configured as I2C0? Looking at the module hardware design, it is not clear why this limitation exists, and why there would be a problem.

Our application would be best architected with two separate I2C interfaces (one for each M4 core). Thank you in advance for asking AI-Link and clarifying why we cannot use the ISU0 in I2C mode.
