heavy noise on voice from audio jack on mic array v2

We play voice messages through a powered speaker connected to audio jack on ReSpeaker mic array v2.

The voice sound is occasionally inaudible because it is corrupted by heavy noise

especially in silent environment such as early in the morning.

Can we avoid this by disabling some adaptive DSP?

HI there

Do you mind posting the a video file? It will help us debug.thanks.

Thank you for your response!

Here is a audio file recorded beside the speaker.

A synthetic voice follows a human utterance and is corrupted in the middle.

Of course the original synthetic speech file is clean.

But the sound from the speaker connected to the audio jack is noisy.

Hi

I have the same problem : sometimes (frequently !), when playing sound (any source) the output (audio jack of the mic array v2) is corrupted with an horrible loud noise identical to the exemple provided by k.sadohara.

Any idea or suggestion of how to identify the problem and correct it please ?

Otherwise, the card is really great, capture quality is excellent, but that noise prevents any use of it, as this screech/noise really kills your hears, depending of the volume.

Hardware : Mic array V2 card connected via usb cable to a Pi3 B+. Power 5V 3A.

I have been using the card input/ouput for many hours now (https://snips.ai/)

Hello

I have the same problem too.

I play videos using omxplayer from Raspberry PI3.

Off course, the speaker with amp is connected to Respeaker Mic Array v2.

First, everythig is OK.

But after a while, the speaker makes terrible noise.

Coud you give me some advice, please.

Hello,

I have been experiencing the same problem as well, and it totally makes the Respeaker V2 useless. I was wondering whether there is any idea on what the problem is or any hint on how to solve it.

Cheers

Hi Sin,

As we talked on the mail, you solved the issue by downloading 6 channel firmware.bin file. please post the audio file if you still do not solve the issue. thanks.

Could you tell me the URL for the firmware solving the noise issue?

I guess it is different from the factory firmware,

Hi there,

The software team is involved to solve the issue, we see something induced I2s timing chaos. We will update the status if we have some progress. thanks.

Hi there,
