I have a problem.What is the unit of signal obtained by sampling?

I find that the maxinum value I obtained by sampling is 1.

Has the data been processed?

If so, what is the parameter based on?

I use ReSpeaker 4-Mic Array for Raspberry Pi 2B by portaudio on Ubuntu.

I use it for Sound source localization with C++ and now I want to know the unit of data for further optimization.
