ReSpeaker USB 4 Mic Array Questions

Hello, I’m looking for help with a few questions I have for the USB 4 Mic Array.

  1. Can your 2-dimensional array of 4 microphones (i.e., USB 4 Mic Array) be used to provide both azimuth and elevation angles for a sound source using software like ManyEars or ODAS

  2. Assuming the sound source is loud enough and noise levels are low enough, is there any limit to the distance between sound source and mic array, beyond which your hardware won’t be able to give direction-of-arrival information?

I would greatly appreciate any help with these questions. Have a nice day!

The respeaker mic array v2.0 can work with ODAS. You can refer to wiki page.

I just tested it around 10 meters and the DOA works well. thanks.
