I am interested in outdoor applications for Wio. I plan to used both solar and Li ion batteries. Does the Wio have voltage protection on its charging circuit? Is it possible to connect the JST 2 connector directly to a solar panel bearing in mind that solar panels even at a nominal 5V can result in 10V on a very sunny day. Alternatively should I use a power management and protection system like Lipo Rider v1.3?

The Wio doesn’t have solar charge function and if you connect a 10V to the battery connector ,it may cause demage to the Wio.
So, if you wnat to use solar power ,you have to add a power management Unit like Lipo rider v1.3. : )
