Running Linkitone from an External Battery

Post by tflora15146 » Thu Mar 31, 2016 9:03 pm

Does anyone see a problem with running the Linkitone from the USB port with a 5v source.
This is for an automotive application. I can convert the 12v car battery to 5v using a buck converter to a modified USB cable to provide power only to the micro USB port.

Hello,

If you are powering the LinkIt ONE board via micro USB port using 5V, it would be fine. Please make ensure the polarity (i.e +5V and Ground of USB Cable).

Thanks and Warm Regards.
