How to connect Can bus shield 2.0 to the can bus in my car?

Hi! After played a bit with my Arduino Uno at home building some simple applications I wanted to move on and use it together with the Seeed Can Bus shield v2.0. I connected the shield to the Uno (Uno of the latest build) and downloaded a code example for the Seeed can bus shield (receive_check.ino)



I found the documentation for the electrical system of my car and at what connectors and pins can hi and can low could be found. Connected the shield via the two terminal screws at the shield to the can pins at the connector in my car, with the car in ignition mode by the car key.



The Arduino code says all set up and initiated correctly, but no data stream follows. Nothing to be shown in the serial monitor after successful initiating. What might be missing…?

I solved it. The problem was that when I connected to the can bus of the car I also accidentally broke the circuit of the bus. After having realized that I connected the right way and succeded in reading data
