Right now, I have the xbee shield on the Arduino.
I want to connect Xbee directly to the power source.
I’m using 9v battery.
I was wondering if the shield is equipped with some sort of voltage regulator.

It is has a regulation for power 5V to 3.3V. But if you supply 9V that could be burn.
So suggest you just plug on the Arduino board is batter way.
