Chainable LED on Grove Shield for Photon

Grove is a modulated, ready-to-use tool set.
Much like Lego, it takes a building block approach to assembling electronics.

Chainable LED on Grove Shield for Photon

Post by gdogdev » Sun Apr 24, 2016 12:10 pm

Anybody have any luck getting the Chainable RGB LED working on the Grove Shield for Photon? I've tried all the sample code I can find but can't seem to get the light to turn off (it turns on by default) or change color (it's blue by default). I plug the cable into D6.

Hi,

The Grove Shield for Photon works on 3.3V logic but Grove Chainable RGB LED can only operate on 5v so they are not compatible.
