Dear All,

I’m looking for sensor to report empty space in a farm water tank

The environment is hot 100-150- Fahrenheit.

I like to have control when to add water when the tank it needed.

Empty parameter change, it is not specify level.

The water tank is 200 gallon

Sample:
If the tank gets to 198galon, I like to add 1 gallon.
If the tank gets to 135galon, I like to add 5 gallons.
If the tank gets to 128galon, I like to add 11 gallons.
If the tank gets to 18galon, I like to add 15 gallons.

To add gallons are not a fix amount it depends on my request.

Hi there,

You can put a plastic plate on top of the water guiding by vertical stick.  So the plastic plate moves vertically. Then you can put a distance sensor on top of the tank and at the same line with plastic plate. So it can detect the distance between the sensor and the water surface.

For the pump control, you can add a relay. So you can use the arduino, distance sensor and relay to setup whole system. You can base on the distance sensor info to control the relay.

Here are the products links.

Thanks
