Hi,



May I check are there any updates with regards to Measuring Range and the default detecting distance of Grove - PIR Motion Sensor?



Could you please elaborate how the Measuring Range and the default detecting distance of Grove - PIR Motion Sensor is calculated and intended to work in detail?



Please provide a diagram to explain the default detecting distance is 3m…is its line of sight vertical or horizontal distance from the placement of Grove - PIR Motion Sensor?

Hi there,


For the default, it means that you receive the board and without any rework. the detect range is 3m. R13 is 2Mohm.

For the max 6 meters, you can rework the board and add the R2 (10Mohm)adjustable resistor. The detecting distance can be adjusted from 6 meters to only several centimeters. You have to remove R13 if you add the R2.

Hi there,


The 3M is the experiment data. There is no calculation. It depends on the resistant R2(Between 2IN- and 2OUT pins of the TM2292). For the schematic, you can refer to attachment. For the TM2292 datasheet, we only have the Chinese version. Please see the attachment as well.
