Rainbowduino not working under El Capitan (Mac OS X 10.11)

Hi all- I’m running OS X 10.11 “El Capitan”, and I’m trying to re-program my Rainbowduinos, but they’re not showing up in the list of available ports.

I’ve already tried re-installing the FTDI Virtual COM Port drivers, and all kinds of other things (nvram, csrutil, kextunload/reload) and while I CAN see and program OTHER Arduino boards (including other FTDI/serial boards) under El Captian, something is wrong with the Rainbowduino now.

When I plug in the Rainbowduino, and it gets power, and boots.

The Rainbowduino DOES show up in the OSX System Info as “FT232R USB UART”, but there is NO device appearing in /dev/tty.* or /dev/cu*.

If it stays like this, the Rainbowduino has become useless to me. What do I need to do to make the Rainbowduino FTDI device appear again so that I can program it? Willing to try anything!

Thank you for all your help with a great product-

Hi

I’ve got exactly the same problem with my Lotus Seeding on Mac OS X 10.11

The driver setup seems correct but even in the Terminal with ls /dev/tty.* I don’t see anything for the card, have you got a solution?

Thanks in advance
