Is the software Like the BenF versions comparable with either unit?
No. Benf is for DSO Nano v1 and v2 only.

Re: hacking the nano into useful automotive tools

It sure is a nice mode to have to quickly change v/d and t/d with buttons like in uScope firmware. I would like this mode by default. Seen Here by pressing "A" button http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X33aLeLCo_s There is also one function that I can't find in Benf is "Invert" but you can use Excel to ...

Re: DSO nano new bootloader firmware

Good job, alf! Glad you got it working, and that my guess about checksums/certification was proven wrong. For your information, BenF's 3.13 version was the last open-source version, there are only minor changes to what's in the git tree on gitorious. Yes its interesting why the hex file I posted fr...

Re: DSO nano new bootloader firmware

I just flashed the BenF software on the DSO201 with the the new bootloader. I took the hex files generated by the IAR Compiler and also changed the file names. (V201_LIB.HEX, V201_APP.HEX) and now it works. Awesome work. Did you use IAR v 6.x? I kinda like the new loader because of easier firmware ...
