Re: #idea Processing Events using Websockets on Node-red

good luck with your first project. Share the results here on the forum. I think the combination of WioLink and node-red is interesting and you can develop proto-types very quickly. The only down side is that node-red chews up lots of RAM but I have many Beaglebone computers so this is not an issue f...

Re: [Question] Delete one Wio Link from Server?

Hello uwe.fetzer I deleted a Wio on my Android app by swiping the node to the left then selected delete a couple of days ago. I have not tried since to confirm. I am also interested in your docker server . It would be great if you can document that on this forum. I would very much like to do the sam...

Re: Longer Groove Cable needed

Hello Micha, I have the same requirement but will use extra Wio Link Computers outside. Cable distances longer than 50 cms could pose a problem with voltage drop from the extra distance. For outside Wio Link computers I need to develop a weather protective box and battery with solar power.

#idea Air Quality and UV Index Measurements

In this posting I am describing a mini project that uses two Grove sensors with two WioLink computers. They are the ultra violet (uv) sensor and the air quality sensor. The reason that two WioLink computers are used is that the wio only has one analog port and I need two. The air quality module is o...

Three Events - demo of multiple event programming

In this posting I have explored event programming with three interrupts. I have used three Digital inputs: 0) IR interrupter 1) PIR motion detector & 2) Tilt sensor. There is also an analog input: Air Quality. All three events are processed by the same input websocket node. The top output websocket ...

Re: #idea Processing Events using Websockets on Node-red

Hi Bill, see my #idea Thermostat - Final. http://www.seeedstudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=6950 It contains a fuller description and uses every RESTful method including events. All works nicely with minimal latency. I am happy to provide a full flow of the Thermostat but first you have to down ...

#idea Thermostat - Final

This posting is the conclusion of my initial discoveries of the Wio Link Computer since it arrived 4 days ago. Here is an update on the Thermostat project where I use every Grove module - all six and every API method - both polling with POST and GET and event API with websockets. While it is not a t...

Re: IFTTT Example: Thermostat

Hello shivamgautam1 I have already written a program in an non blocking language with javascript nodes and these are included in my node-red flows. My posting used both Curl commands from the Linux shell, RESTful APIs (POST & GET)and callbacks. See my other earlier posts. The purpose of this posting...

#idea Away from Home Operation

So you are away from home where your Beaglebone Green (BBG) computer is and you only have a WioLink and a laptop computer with mobile internet connection and a chrome browser. How can you demonstrate your Wio Link computer? Simple - login to a remote node-red server FRED from sensetecnic at [url]htt...

Re: Raspberry Pi Server Deployment

see my solution using node-red. Node-red is a native tool supplied with Raspberry Pi and there are lots of extra Raspberry Pi nodes to support the Pi hat etc on the node-red website at: http://nodered.org/
