Re: DS203 quad user interface design

Gabonator! You mentioned that genarator gives signal above zero only. Connect generator and a probe via capacitor. I missed the reason why device is so unlinear. But i see few experiments with it.(I have not device itself, so it is only imaginations). 1. Battery test. Take AAA(AA) battery and try to...

Re: Defective generator, problem Nano V2

***Interesting advice. I would do it if it was easy. I have not took the main board out yet to look at the Output connector so not sure how easy it is. I also read another safety feature to add is a Diode to protect against grounding the Output. Few burned out their 74HC125 by connecting Fout to Inp...

Re: DSO NANO - how we users can impact next hardware design

imho, design must have resistor in serial among U9 chip pin Y3 and output jack CN3, else it is easy to overload Y3, to limit output current according to max current ratings of the chip. resistor about 100-150 omhs.
anyway i m advising to do this mod to current users.

Re: Larger LCD for DSO

may be better to use some android tablet(connected by usb to dso) for visualisation and data postprocessing? at least modern cheap tablets have 512 mb of memory, 7"-8" screen and processors of 1 ghz.

Re: Defective generator, problem Nano V2

I don"t know much about electronics but is 74HC125 chip a 4 in 1 fast switches? I don't know its purpose or why it was used in design. it is bus driver. the common usage - to attach/detach some signals from one part of device to another one or to/from external device. and to raise output current ab...

Re: Defective generator, problem Nano V2

because U9 is hot(it consumes big current) - it is damaged or some outputs are shortened to the ground, to another output or somewhere. if output is not shortened then chip u9 has been internally damaged and shortage is internal. also as i said - there must be resistors in serial from u9 to output j...

Re: Defective generator, problem Nano V2

imho, working plan.(i have not device, and see only schematics and photos) 1. discharge yourself touching with finger some ground point of your device. device must be turned off. 2. put your finger on the chip which was hot (U9?), turn device on and wait, if it will be warm or hot. is warm/hot - tur...

Re: Defective generator, problem Nano V2

may be better to him to measure some AAA, AA battery, because it is not evident that his oscilloscope part is working well. may be his input is damaged? can his device show 1.5v on some battery? or test it with some audio jack, measuring voltage there? ps...measuring the processor with some voltmete...

imho, it looks like bad timings in lcd write functions. may be somewhere some delay needed.

Re: DS203 quad user interface design

gabonator. If in your software you want to use lists and have functions like getPrev, getNext, getFirst, getLast, for this is a class DoubleLinkedList which has a structure - class DListElement //element of double linked list { DListElement *_prev, *_next; //here are pointers to prev and next elemen...
