Re: PCB size in inches

The problem is that I didn't design it -- I only have the gerbers. I think it might fit if it were just centered and trimmed to size, but I don't know how to do that... :/

PCB size in inches

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this already, but I thought I'd ask anyway just in case today is my lucky day... A 5x10cm PCB is 1.97x3.94 inches. I have a 2x4" PCB that I need made. :| Is there any chance your size limits are actually metric "equivalents" of English units (e.g. 5.08cm x 10.16c...

Re: Fritzing-generated Gerber files

I used Fritzing for the PCBs shown here, and didn't have any problems at all

The order went through and was processed very smoothly.

Turn-around time to USA (east coast) -- detailed example

I thought I'd post this as a new thread here since the original blog post seems to be getting a lot of search-related hits... A couple months ago I detailed the turn-around time for a no-frills $9.90 PCB order, and described all the communications and shipping status updates (with dates and times) I...

Re: not delivered on time? anyone else

In case it helps, I detailed the turn-around time to the east coast of the USA on my blog here, including the tracking updates (or lack thereof): http://www.thefrankes.com/wp/?p=2525 The second order was also exactly 21 days from placing the order to receiving it. The production time was a couple da...

Re: What if my PCB size is less than 5cmx5cm

I recently did a 5x5 cm board with 15 panelized tiny boards on it without any issues from Seeedstudio. Of course I had to cut them up myself, but that's really not a problem if you use 0.8mm instead of the 1.6mm pcb thickness. Wait -- I thought they were supposed to be "single design, no panels." I...

Plated through holes and KiCAD

The first PCB I ordered here was one-sided and created with Fritzing and it turned out great. For my next one, I'm using KiCAD and it will be double-sided. Are through-holes plated automatically when there's a trace going to both the bottom at the top of a hole and for vias? Or would I need to solde...
