Re: ReSpeaker Mic Array V2 recording noise

Hi I have tested the new firmware but the interference noise is still there when using a Raspberry Pi 3B+. The noise seems to be caused by the Pi as when tested on a Mac computer there is no interference noise. Any advice on using it with a Raspberry Pi? I have purchased four Mic-Array V2 boards and...

ReSpeaker Mic Array V2 recording noise

Hi, I posted this before but still cannot solve the issue. I connected the ReSpeaker Mic Array V2 from the bottom pins to a Raspberry Pi 3B+. All works fine but I notice the recording has an audible noise. See the attached spectrogram: the noise is shown as the horizontal lines as multiples of 1kHz....

Re: Mic Array v2.0 recording high pitch noise

Hi, Further to my problem I've done some investigation and believe the high pitch noise comes from the USB. As you can see from the spectrogram the noise has a perfect fundamental frequency at 1kHz and harmonics at multiples of 1kHz. I read some articles with the following explanation: The USB will ...

Mic Array v2.0 recording high pitch noise

I have used the Mic Array v2.0 for a while now. One thing I've noticed is that the first channel, i.e. the beamformed channel for ASR, always contains some hight pitch noise. See the attached picture of the spectrogram. I have tried tuning the parameters but couldn't get rid of it. Seems it has pick...

Re: Is it possible to connect Mic Array v2.0 to a Raspberry Pi via the pins at the bottom?

Thanks. So to double check the USB Ground Pin needs to connect to one of the ground pins on the board? The picture you sent suggests the USB Gnd connects to AUX_SEL. Also would the board still work if I remove the Audio Jack? It's really in my way and I don't need it. An audio jack on the other side...

Re: Is it possible to connect Mic Array v2.0 to a Raspberry Pi via the pins at the bottom?

Thanks Bill. I can see from the picture that you connected the 2 USB pins, the VDD_5V and the AUX_SEL. Would it be possible to control the central LED and the LED ring with this connection? Also please advice which USB pins I should connect. Is the following correct? USB <--> MicArray VDC <--> VDD_5...

Is it possible to connect Mic Array v2.0 to a Raspberry Pi via the pins at the bottom?

Hi,

I've been using the Mic Array v2.0 via the micro USB with a Pi but is it possible to connect it via the pins at the base?

Any advice appreciated.

Re: LED control on Mic Array v2

Thank you Bill. I got it working in the end. The brightness setting seems to only work if I change the LED colour, otherwise there is no effect.

LED control on Mic Array v2

Hi,

I am able to change the colour of the LED ring on the Mic Array v2, but for some reason changing the brightness has no effect. I also can't control individual LEDs using the "pixel_ring.write(6, data)" method.

Any idea how to change the brightness?

Many thanks
