Re: DS203 quad user interface design

I tried to compile in linux and found some problems. The first problem is that I didn't have instructions on how you expected to compile the code so I did this: cd Build/arm_linux make which is not what I think you did, but anyway that is what I eventually got to work. Unfortunately I had to change ...

Re: DS203 quad user interface design

Gabonator, I was trying to compile your code in Linux to see if I could add some stuff but it doesn't have a Makefile. I tried to make one but there are lots of microsoft specific things that I didn't want to invest in fixing without having a way to check them back in. Two issues so far: it seems th...

Re: DS203 quad user interface design

Here is my current problem: I cannot change the number of samples for the generator. It does not work by calling __Set(ANALOG_CNT, xxx), nor by settings the DMA values directly (*((vu32 *)(0x40020400+0x48))) = xxx. I can change the pointer for source data (DMA2_CMAR4), but it always sythesize only ...

Re: DSO Quad GCC port

I tried loading the .hex file with windows and no problem. I guess the linux load procedure is the problem. Update: found the problem. You need to specify -o sync in the mount command. I updated the wiki accordingly. Another update: it still isn't reliable. Doesn't work more than it does work. I fou...

Re: DSO Quad GCC port

Your app3.hex file and mine are identical, so I guess I just have to figure a more reliable way to download the file in Linux. Any suggestions? More info: First I turn on the dso holding down the play/pause button. Then I mount and copy the app3.hex file to the file system. After a minute or two the...

Re: DSO Quad GCC port

Thanks for the port. I was able to build the .hex files but I can't get them to run on the scope. I currently have SYS_B150 and APP_B250 loaded and running on the scope. When I load the app3.hex file I get a .rdy file (in Linux) but when I try to run it I just get a BEEEEEEEEEEEEP. Do you have any c...

Re: SourceCode of App251 and sys150 released....

Where is the App251 firmware in object (i.e. usable) form? I see only App250 at this point in time. UPDATE: I found three APP_B251.hex files in the Exe directory in git (one is 1APP_B251.hex). Tried one of them but it did update properly. So I'm still not sure which is the most up to date firmware f...

Re: DSO Quad source code?

If one is going to rework the code for a different compiler, wouldn't it be better to use an open source compiler such as gcc? Looking at the Kiel site it looks like their compiler is proprietary, costs money, and only runs on Windows. Using gcc would allow for the most developers to participate in ...

Re: Seeek for Quad UI design

For the request of multiple presets (i.e. being able to quickly go to more than one predefined settings) I suggest using the preset button differently. Right now the preset button writes the current settings to a preset memory in flash. I suggest having 4 sets of such flash memories I will call scre...

Re: How to Develop Apps for DSO Quad?

I noticed this post for the dso nano: http://www.seeedstudio.com/blog/2010/11/09/dso-nano-v2-community-works-and-news-on-dso-quad/ Seems that someone got the nano to compile using the GNU tool chain. Is the Quad code also GNU compatible? That would be really nice since one can do development on any ...
