Re: RePhone switches off all of a sudden

@dbelam

Didn't think of that earlier :oops: . Thanks! But, no apparent shorts.

@mail29

Did it work when you reflashed the firmware? I didn't work for me - with both the RePhone native firmware and LinkIt Assist firmware.

Re: RePhone switches off all of a sudden

Oh! Sorry, I totally misread what you had said :lol: Fidgeting with the SIM card doesn't seem to help either. But, I have a feeling you could be right about the short (or something like that) though. I'll try and check with another SIM (I don't have a spare nano SIM lying around, so this could take ...

Re: RePhone switches off all of a sudden

@dbelam Thanks. I just attempted to insert the SIM in different positions because you asked :), it gets in only one way. I am supplying 4.1V to the breakout pin 3 (Vcc) on the side. Is there any test point where I can check the voltage of the output of the internal regulator? You are right about 3....

The duration is too short for me to plug-in the USB cable to see any logs. If I remove the SIM, ...

Re: Power supply for peripherals

Thank you, dbelam. What is strange is that right now I am using the side pins for V bat (i.e. I have connected a 3.7V battery to the pin labelled V cc ), because I couldn't find a battery with JST 1.0 connector and I had one with a large JST connector lying around. I always assumed they were just in...

Power supply for peripherals

Hi, I would like to connect a light sensor (TSL2561) to the RePhone GSM+BLE module, and was wondering if there's a way to supply power to the light sensor (Vcc = 3.3V, max. 3.6V) from the GSM+BLE module which is itself running on battery. In other words, does the GSM+BLE module output regulated powe...
