Re: What projects are you working on with RePhone?

Hi Agam, It is early days for me with the RePhone platform but I am working on a couple of projects. Probably the most interesting (well for me :) ) is a geofencing module that sends SMS alerts if it GPS location changes within a set amount. Can be used as a simple tracking device for things you exp...

(TECH)Battery Usage when the RePhone is turned off

I have been playing around with the RePhone GSM/BLE module, the Xadow Duino with the WS2812b LED strip. I had a small issue today where I went to power on the unit, having left it for a day, and it wouldn't turn on. After some investigation it turned out to be a flat battery. However, the battery ha...

Re: RePhone: how to flash the Firmware for Arduino IDE ?

I had very similar issues flashing my board. I have now managed to do it. To get it to work I ended up pulling an old Windows XP SP2 machine out of the cupboard. Wonce I was using that it worked without issue. I have now reflashed my board and have been playing around with some of the example code. ...

Re: Unable to falsh Adrunio IDE firmware

Thanks for the reply, none of those processes have worked for me. So I decided to try with another machine. I tried another 64 bit windows machine but no joy. I did finally succeed in updating my firmware with an old Windows XP SP2 32 bit machine. Once it was updated everything seems to be okay. Carl

(TECH) Unable to falsh Adrunio IDE firmware

Hi, I have been trying to flash my unit with the firmware for the Arduino IDE. I am following the instructions on the Wiki (http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/Arduino_IDE_for_RePhone_Kit#Download_Arduino_IDE_for_RePhone). 1. I have powered off the unit 2. Started the flasher (called Updatefirmware.exe ...

Re: LoNet soft power pin

Okay, this is embarassing, I just worked out my mistake. I was reading the wiki for the LoNet - GSM/GPRS/GPS Breakout which uses a high signal to put turn the module on and off. I just discovered I have the LoNet 808 - Mini GSM/GPRS + GPS Breakout which uses an active low for 2 seconds to turn the m...

LoNet soft power pin

Hi, I am developing a GSM/GPRS remote device that will be powered from a 3.7 lithium Ion battery. The major components are a 3.3volt Arduino pro mini and the LoNet breakout board. To save power I want to turn the LoNet off when it is not in use, so have been investigating the PWR soft power pin. Acc...
