Final acceptance tests on my phone

My nano SIM card arrived today and after paying $10 for making voice calls I was ready to complete testing. I spend over 1 hour trying to re-flash the phone and did not realise that this was not necessary. After that distraction everything went well. Installed test mp3 files, adjusted the audio and ...

Applications for rePhone

So what will I use this phone for? Before I retired I, my work place (a NSW Government Department) used expensive GSM phones like rePhone for monitoring the health of bridges including the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I had to climb all over the bridge to find suitable sites for testing and this was fun. ...

Commissioning rePhone

The kits arrived about a month ago and I have only now being able to look at them. Started 4 days ago and I have never handled electronics modules so small as this - need care and extra help - borrowed a magnifier - my eyesight is not that good these days. Had some difficulty with inserting the cabl...

Re: Programming the Wio

IFTTT is a simple app which allows to select a lot of sensors and actors and some rules when to make what. It checks the status every 5-20minutes. You just ...

Re: [HowTo] Install the WIO Server on Raspberry Pi 3

Hello uwe, thanks very much for your help. Your advice was spot on. Although I am using a BBG it is also ARM based and the file you quoted was the one I needed. After re-compiling and connecting everything works locally. That is fantastic and your help was the key. Interestingly the support from the...

Re: [HowTo] Install the WIO Server on Raspberry Pi 3

Hello Uwe, thanks for you help. I was able to progress one extra step and I think I am nearly there! Local server is working and was able to connect wiolink computer to it. I was able to assemble hardware on the WioLink ports and accessed the APIs. Only problem was it did not Update and deliver the ...

Re: #Discussion#Wio Link Server document has released, then?

I seem to have progressed one step further but not complete yet! At least no obvious failures at the lean server end. Three problems with the Android aps: 1) Can not change the Exchange Server Ip address on the Android app - see photo 2) Can not enter email address on the Android app - see photo 3) ...

Re: [HowTo] Install the WIO Server on Raspberry Pi 3

Hello uwe.fetzer, under Configure SSL when you say "Make sure, that you enter your (local) domain name at “Common name (FQDN), for example “*.se38.local” " where do you get your (local) domain name? Do you need a real FQDN? My server on a BBB is just local and only has an IP address with a local nam...

Re: [HowTo] Install the WIO Server on Raspberry Pi 3

This is fantastic! I would like to do the same using Beaglebones Green. Spent all morning on it but did not achieve the outcome I wanted. Tried both thin and full versions. I would recommend that this become a product or support item on a downloadable img file or on a uSD card. There are too many st...
