Re: DSO 203 Noise & bit jitter

Thanks Bobtidy, perhaps I just didn't notice before - my impression was of more stability. I agree about the feel of the aluminum case, but I don't think I want to fuss with this any more as long as it works. Also, I do have cases of using it with line voltage. I don't know if this one has the 40v l...

DSO 203 Noise & bit jitter

In my continuing saga with the Quad, I originally purchased the *NEWEST VERSION* on amazon, which was the 2.72 version. I thought it would be the 2M disk based on the amazon description, but it was not. As can be seen in other threads I tried to work with this and update the community software - whi...

Re: DSO203 GCC APP - Community Edition (2.51+SmTech1.8+Fixes

The 2.72 / 8M issues seem to be fixed, please see the last upload in this thread: http://www.seeedstudio.com/forum/viewto ... 187#p19187

Re: Fixing the 2.72 8M Issues - fixed

Bobtidey - Changing the RAM to 48k seems to work as you suggest. As far as I can tell this is now fully functional. I have included the source and updated .HEX files one more time, but do need to find a way to post these somewhere! Since I took out the dependency on the modified SYS, perhaps this ve...

Re: Fixing the 2.72 8M Issues

For those of you interested in using this with the 2.72 hardware, it seems to be working (with the exception noted below) and not harming the hardware. All the file I/O functions seem to work. Enclosed are the .HEX files for app-1 and app-3 as well as the modified source files. This works with the f...

Re: Fixing the 2.72 8M Issues

Could you post the Wildcat version? I tried to do it as well and it crashed on load, even without running any new code. When I change the buffer size (to the old value), it worked. I suspect it may be running out of memory but perhaps it is something else. I'm not sure how to build the SYS you poste...

Re: Fixing the 2.72 8M Issues

bobtidey: Is the SYS 1.6 you provided the one modified for the community application? If so, I can't find the modified table or any additional functions. It is very similar to the current "factory" SYS except for the 8M changes. In the fixed community app there is also something odd going on in the ...

Re: Fixing the 2.72 8M Issues

I suspect the issues have more to do with the modified SYS, but I have not been able to find out what it does or locate the source code. If anyone has a link, please post it or update it based on the factory SYS.

Also, I would also like to try the "wildcat" version. Does it have SYS dependencies?

Re: Fixing the 2.72 8M Issues

Issues found thus far: * On chan 4 menu, moving past "Meter" crashes. doubt this has to do with file I/O * Freq generator / display is off, this is probably due to known dependence on customized SYS * After a file is saved it is not refreshed on the PC until the USB is reconnected. This may be norma...

Fixing the 2.72 8M Issues

Being frustrated with not being able to run my new DSO with the community software, I thought I would take a look and see if my inner geek still existed. I have made some modifications to try and support the 8M disk. I started with https://github.com/pmos69/dso203_gcc and looked at the new "factory"...
