Re: Grove AI HAT and Maix camera cable

Not exactly. The cameras used for the modules just have a short stub of ribbon. What I'm suggesting is a longer cable, not a ribbon. This is so the camera can be mounted away from the device, and even mounted on a motor controlled base if desired. For example, I have a small mount made for FPV camer...

Grove AI HAT and Maix camera cable

I would like to suggest either an extension cable, or a camera module with a cable which can be used with the Grove AI HAT, Maix Bit etc. My reason is that the board can not always be located with the camera. It would also allow the camera to be used with gimbal bases for computer vision and robotic...

Re: Grove AI HAT for Edge Computing

I haven't uploaded it yet but I succeeded in building nncase (ncc) for arm64. I built it on my Jetson Nano. I did this because I wanted a single solution for training, converting and flashing neural nets for k210. At least I know it is possible to build nncase on other platforms now. I can say it ne...

Which forum section for Grove AI HAT?

I'm asking this because the Grove AI HAT can fit in three categories. Which forum section is the correct section for posting about it?

Re: Arduino Board Manager for AI HAT for Edge Computing

Really? That's great news. It means my unofficial version is obsolete, at least partially. When I get a chance I'm going to check their .json to see if aarch64 was added too.

Now all that's needed is an arm version of nncase and I'll be happy.

Re: AI HAT for Rasberry Pi & Rasberry Pi workflow ???

Another fun fact I discovered today. The Grove AI HAT and Pi (or compatible) use the same TX and RX UART pins on the GPIO header. This means the boards cannot communicate with each other via GPIO UART. In its own way it makes sense, but it also rules out the easiest method of communication without e...

Re: AI HAT for Rasberry Pi & Rasberry Pi workflow ???

I apologise for some misinformation. There was a problem in my configuration. The USB C cable does act as a UART. I had it outputting to the Arduino console last night during a test. Honestly I'm a little confused now after what I saw in the schematic didn't match what I expected to see.

Re: AI HAT for Rasberry Pi & Rasberry Pi workflow ???

Oh! That's odd. I have zero experience with Mac OS > 9. The CHG320 is a common USB UART chip so it should appear. Is there a chance the USB port doesn't support enough current? I spent some time looking at the schematic today and it also appears that the USB C cable can only be used for flashing. Ju...

Re: AI HAT for Rasberry Pi & Rasberry Pi workflow ???

I'm no expert.
When programming using another device via USB-C while the HAT is still on the Pi, I think the switch needs to be set to off to decouple the Pi 5v source from the HAT.

Re: NEW Releasing: Grove AI HAT for Edge Computing and Look forward to your ideas!

I don't know if it will work for anyone else. I put this together yesterday. https://github.com/experimentech/kendryte-toolchain-arm It's based on the native toolchain, so it may need some libraries installed as per the Kendryte-gnu-toolchain installation instructions. Or it may not work at all for ...
